Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is defined as the use of another author’s language, ideas, expressions, or previously published work without proper acknowledgment, presenting them as one's own original contribution. This includes all forms of academic dishonesty, such as:
-
Verbatim copying or close paraphrasing without citation
-
Self-plagiarism, including duplicate or redundant submissions
-
Text recycling and salami slicing (dividing one study into several publications)
JCCAIR strictly follows the plagiarism guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
Plagiarism Screening and Similarity Check
-
All submissions to JCCAIR are screened for similarity using Turnitin.
-
Authors receive the similarity report for transparency and revision, if necessary.
Threshold Criteria
-
The overall similarity index must not exceed 19%.
-
No single source should contribute more than 4% to the similarity report.
Submissions exceeding these thresholds will be returned to the authors for correction, or may be rejected in accordance with JCCAIR’s ethical policies.
JCCAIR is committed to upholding academic integrity and ensuring that all published work reflects original, properly attributed research. Authors are responsible for checking their manuscripts for plagiarism before submission and are encouraged to familiarize themselves with citation standards and proper academic writing practices.
