Repository Policy
- The Journal of Cognition and Artificial Intelligence (JCAI) allows authors to deposit versions of their manuscripts in institutional and other repositories of their choice.
- Authors may deposit the published version (Version of Record) immediately after publication, with proper citation and DOI of the article.
- Preprint versions (submitted manuscripts) and accepted versions (post-peer-review but before publication) are not permitted for deposit in any repository.
- All deposited versions must include:
- Full bibliographic citation
- DOI link
- A link to the official journal website
- Authors are permitted to deposit their work in:
- Institutional repositories
- Subject-specific repositories
- General repositories
- Personal or departmental websites
- All articles are published under an open-access license, allowing free access and distribution with proper attribution.
- JCAI does not impose any embargo period, and authors are free to archive their work immediately.
- The journal ensures long-term digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), while repository deposits remain the responsibility of the authors.
