AI and Generative Tools Policy
JCAI recognizes the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT in research.
Acceptable Use: Authors may use AI tools for
- Language polishing and grammar improvement.
- Formatting references or metadata.
- Generating code snippets or scripts, provided their use is transparent and verified.
Unacceptable Use: AI tools must not be used to
- Generate fabricated data, analyses, images, or citations.
- Replace critical scholarly contributions (idea generation, interpretation, or conclusions).
- Circumvent ethical or authorship responsibilities.
Disclosure:
- Any AI use must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments section (e.g., “This manuscript used ChatGPT for language editing only”).
- Responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work lies solely with the authors.
