AI and Generative Tools Policy

JCAI recognizes the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT in research.

Acceptable Use: Authors may use AI tools for

• Language polishing and grammar improvement.
• Formatting references or metadata.
• Generating code snippets or scripts, provided their use is transparent and verified.

Unacceptable Use: AI tools must not be used to

• Generate fabricated data, analyses, images, or citations.
• Replace critical scholarly contributions (idea generation, interpretation, or conclusions).
• Circumvent ethical or authorship responsibilities.

Disclosure:

• Any AI use must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments section (e.g., “This manuscript used ChatGPT for language editing only”).
• Responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work lies solely with the authors.
